After logging a complaint last week regarding the water leak at Paynes Lane, the Clerk chased Anglian Water yesterday morning (17th January 2024) due to freezing temperatures causing the road and footpath to become even more hazardous. She was informed repairs would take place this Friday 19th January but they would assess the road again and if necessary, try to bring these forward. At 5.00 pm last night, she was informed that although Anglian Water will endeavour to repair the road asap, they cannot guarantee this will be before Friday due to their current workload however the road will be closed from the evening of Wednesday 17th January until repairs have taken place.
